For a couple of weeks I was contemplating whether I should create a page dedicated to God. A personal page which outlines why I believe, worship, praise and serve Him. So I have decided to do it, and here it goes. Throughout my childhood I have grown to understand that God has blessed me with many opportunities and has sent people into my life to assist in developing my faith. I have experienced various circumstances which tried to hinder my faith in His will and purpose for my life. At some point these circumstances sought to undermine my perception of God’s character. However, I always reminded myself that, in Exodus 15:2, “the Lord is my strength and my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise Him…and I will exalt Him.” I will not get side tracked because of the storms of life. Instead, I will continue to explore the vast mountains and valleys God has assigned for me to overcome. I will conquer these problems for they are just seasons I must surpass.

I think Ecclesiastes 3:1-9 conveys this - “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to keep silent, and a time to speak; a time for war, and a time for peace” (this is not the full verse - I shortened it). Remember that God’s power is limitless and He is a sovereign God. Commit to Him and He will establish your plans (Proverbs 16:3). Life is, no doubt, challenging, and often we may feel lonely, conflicted, and troubled which could be the reason why we do not center our lives around Him. We are left nothing but bitterness and disappointment. Just dissatisfaction with ourselves and our life. Sometimes we feel distant from God. Its almost like He doesn’t make Himself apparent in certain situations.

But, always remember, the peace of God transcends all understanding and Christ will guard your hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7).

All you have to do is “trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:3-4). God’s timing may not be your timing. He may open doors and introduce paths which you may feel uncomfortable with. But He has a reason for doing so. Either to build your character, trust in Him or a means to ‘test’ your faith. However, God only works for good, for those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28-29). This distinguishes Him from any earthly person. God’s love for us is eternal and unconditional (John 3:16/1 John 4:9-11). It has no bounds, and because of that, He has given us the gift of grace.

Jesus Christ is the way, and the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He is the one true God. John 12:45 states “He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me” - basically whoever looks at Jesus, sees the face of God. In society today, the dominating ideology of religion is that we have to do good to get to heaven and hope that because of our good works, God will allow us to enter heaven, which, realistically, cannot be achieved, also, we are bounded by obligation. Just imagine God recording every good and bad thing you have done on a scroll. The truth is, no-one can merit the unmerited favor of God. We are undeserving of His gift of grace (Ephesians 2:4-9).

But God who is abundant in grace and mercy, and because of His compassion, our eternal future does not depend on our works (Romans 5:2-5). He wants a relationship with us! So turn to Him, accept the fact that He LOVES you and is CRAZY about you! He will NEVER give up on you. Trust me, once you dedicate yourself and your life to Him, you will never be the same! It is NEVER too late to turn to Jesus! He will ALWAYS welcome you with open arms and shower you with His never failing love (Psalm 136:12). Once you accept Him into your heart, you will be overwhelmed by His amazing love for you. A love that cannot be attained on earth nor from any human being. A love so pure and incredible, that words cannot express. His love will break your chains that once held you down.

Just confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Invite Him into your life today, you will never be the same again - “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). He is your rock and salvation - He never fails (Isaiah 26:4). You cannot escape from His love. Remember the things of this world is unimportant. What we accumulate on earth will not be taken into heaven (1 John 2:15). Strive to live a life that centers around, not you, but the Creator. Repent. Change your ways and live a fruitful life that is pleasing to Him. Walk away from sin. The life He has given you is to prepare you for your eternal destiny. Don’t let the things of this world consume you. Stand strong and firm in your faith. “Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed and overflowing with gratitude” (Colossians 2:6-7). Stop searching for love found in material objects, certain people, or activities, it is obvious that (in 1 John 4:16) “God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them”.

JESUS is the answer. Embrace His love. Witness His love. You will never regret it.
